Rose Charm |
May 4, 1933-
"Endless Chain" is Much Easier Than It Looks was the title of Nancy Cabot's column in the Chicago Tribune 80 years ago. The blocks "when set together without intervening panel of plain material form an interlacing "endless chain" over the entire surface of the quilt" she explains. The block when pieced in rose and white fabric is called "
Rose Charm." She goes on to say,"Take heart. It is not nearly so difficult to piece as it appears."
She's right! Here's a
video showing how to make this block. It's promoting a Sizzix die that is available for the block but the basics of sewing the block together are the same.

The
Endless Chain block can also be found in Electric Quilt's
BlockBase
program as #1532. Or you could try
Inklingo. They have three sizes of blocks available.
Below are a couple of antique

Thank you so much for sharing the blocks and information about them! There are so many beautiful blocks!
