Original Tiger Lily

April 1, 1933-Nancy Cabot wrote that the Original Tiger Lily quilt block "is especially pretty" when pieced with orange, scarlet and red fabrics on "a background of eggshell or cream colored material."

I did not make this block but I did draw it in EQ to make an image for the post and an outline so anyone wanting to make the block can trace the image and make the templates needed to applique the block using their favorite applique technique.

The pattern is for a 6" block but feel free to enlarge the pattern to make any size block you want.  You can get the pattern here.
